The months before our annual tour often seem to stretch on endlessly: months of great anticipation, in which we diligently prepare and pray for our time together. But once the tour has begun, the time seems to fly: 24 days of beautiful music, meaningful encounters with others, and fortifying fellowship before the tour is suddenly once again behind us. This year was no exception.
Of course, we weren’t alone in praying for this year’s concert tour. Many others joined us in prayer, both before and during the tour—and with nearly every step, we saw God’s answers to those prayers. We prayed for safe and successful travel, and all of our team members arrived in Germany by the appointed day and time. We prayed that God would quickly form the 12 of us into a closely-knit team; that process began on our first day together and continued over the days that followed. In the middle of an exceptionally hot summer, we prayed for bearable weather, and ended up with autumnal temperatures during our rehearsal week and a church that was comfortably cool during our recording week. We prayed for the strength, energy, and concentration that we needed for each day and received these and much more, especially during the challenging days of recording. We prayed that God would use our music to touch hearts and encourage others, and the reactions from our audience each night showed that he had done just that:

The music was heavenly, the humor delightful, and the testimony simply honest. Thank you!

We’re thankful that God answered so many of our prayers in the way that we had hoped, and that he blessed this year’s tour so richly. We pray that the work we did together this summer will continue to resonate—through the coming CD, through memories of our concerts, and most importantly through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in us and those we encountered.
