Since our founding, eurobrass has endeavored to support the work of brass choirs in German churches. We want to help these ensembles both improve musically and experience God’s presence through making music together. For years our eurobrass composers, Chris Woods and Ben Roundtree, have written arrangements for brass choirs with these goals in mind. Still they had the sense that they could do even more.
In early 2020, as many brass choirs began a long break imposed by the Corona virus, we began work on a new project. Two years later, as many of these ensembles resume their ministry, we’re pleased to offer the finished product: Amazing Grace, a new collection for brass choir from eurobrass. The seventeen pieces in this collection include arrangements of hymns, spirituals, and worship songs, as well as original works. For each arrangement we’ve also included a brief devotional thought: a prompt to help ensembles turn their attention to God as they rehearse and perform together.
In addition to the book, we’re offering a demo album as a rehearsal aid. The book can be ordered with (20€) or without (15€) the download code for the album.
