In 2022 we announced the publication of Amazing Grace, a collection of arrangements for brass choir from eurobrass. As we assembled materials for publication, we knew we wanted to offer a recording of the pieces in the book as a companion product. To accomplish this, nine musicians met in a recording studio in southwest Germany and recorded all 17 pieces in the span of two days. The work was intense, but joyful—in fact, we enjoyed the music-making and fellowship in the ensemble so much that we immediately began brainstorming future projects.
In fall of 2023, we met once again, this time to perform two concerts for brass choirs who were celebrating anniversaries. Since then, we’ve performed together as Amazing Grace Brass. The ensemble consists of a combination of eurobrass musicians and amateur German brass players who come together to perform brass choir music at a high level. We carry out this work in cooperation with eurobrass. In addition to a few musicians who perform with both ensembles, eurobrass and Amazing Grace Brass share the goals of using brass music to glorify God and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
